Emerald Forest Bird Gardens' bed and breakfast is now open.  Our first cottage in the woods, a 400 square foot cabin with bedroom and bath, living area and kitchen with granite counter top, waits for you. Knotty pine walls and bamboo floors give this cozy hideaway it's appeal. Set in an oak and willow forest, this riparian retreat offers a wonderful opportunity for bird watching.  One can sit for hours under the trees and from the comfort of the cabin's porch see over 80 species of birds native to California from birds of prey and wading species, to such gems as the Ruby Crowned Kinglet and White Breasted Nuthatch (a complete list is below).

From the cabin location in the middle of the Emerald Forest Bird Gardens, one can leisurely explore the forty acres of forest and landscaped grounds and the many aviaries housing over 65 species of exotic birds from around the world including 21 species of toucans (the largest collection in the world), several varieties of Asian and African hornbills and the wildly colorful macaws and cockatoos. Ask us about photo opportunities with many of our friendly birds, that will sit on your arm and beg for attention.  Or, sit back, relax and enjoy a good book or catch up on your sleep in this tranquil environment.

For the city minded, the village of Fallbrook is only a few minutes away with several fine dining establishments and an Irish Pub with live music and dancing on weekends.  Fallbrook is one hour north of San Diego and two hours south of Los Angeles.

Rates:  Fridays and Saturdays $179.00 per night, Sundays through Thursdays $150.00 per night.  Weekly rates available upon request
